Happy Be-lated Birthday, Mom!

Mom's birthday was Monday, April 25. I won't say how old she is, but she's almost exactly 20 years older than I. : ) Just think of how old I'll be in two weeks and you'll know her age, if you're just dying to know. : P For her birthday, Aunt Helen made us supper that was DELICIOUS! Then, our entire family went and exercised! It was quite a work out.  That's what mom wanted to do though, so our whole family joined in the fun. She received many sweet gifts from friends, family, and students. WE LOVE YOU, MOM!

Happy Easter!

Praise the Lord that Jesus rose from the dead! To celebrate Resurrection Sunday, we had an Easter breakfast at church. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, and an awesome breakfast! Then, the teenagers went to the Legacy to hold the services there. We headed back for a wonderful worship service, with several special music selections and truth from God's Word.
Hope you enjoy these photos!

Orlando: My Favorite Person of the Week : P

At visitation yesterday(Saturday), I had the wonderful privilege of leading a 12-year-old boy named Orlando, to the Lord! Here's the story. : )

Miranda, Abbey, and I we canvassing Court St. with Gospel tracts. We walked up to a Orlando's house, and he came walking out the door. I stopped him and told him what we were doing, then gave him the tract, and then I asked him if he knew where he would go if he were to die. He thought a moment, and then answered, "No." He then let me go through the plan of salvation with him, and it was so neat how he listened so intently. A few minutes later, he got down on his knees right on the sidewalk, and asked the Lord to save him! It was so AWESOME! Praise the Lord!

Please pray for Orlando that his parents would let him come to teen night this Friday!

Pastor's Birthday Surprise

For Pastor's 60th birthday, his family threw him a surprise birthday party!

There were several "competitions" that were held.
In this one, the two contestants had to sneak a slice of cake out, eat it, and then hide their tracks.  Pastor had done that once when he was a kid, so that was the inspiration. : ) Mom won I think. : )

Hominy eating contest! (Pastor hates hominy)

The cake was peanut butter and chocolate! There were Reese's Cups everywhere, too. : )

                                                                       The girls : P

Rubber band shooting contest; David won this one.

Rubik Cube Contest; Pastor had the most squares after the set time limit.

Happy 60th Birthday Pastor!

This past week we went to help with the building of Grand View. It was lots of fun, work, and laughs! We enjoyed seeing some of the people that we have come to know there and the new folks, too. Our youth group doesn't do anything without having a blast, so don't worry it wasn't all back-breaking labor. : ) I hope that you enjoy the slideshow!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Last Tuesday, March 29, we celebrated Dad's 37th birthday! He's caught up with Mom... for a few weeks anyways. : P

Mom made the most beautiful carrot spice cake! It had the two layers with frosting in the middle and everything.  Cream cheese frosting just topped it off. Literally. Since Dad's approaching 40 we're trying to eat healthier, hence the CARROT cake. : P J/K

I think Dad's pretty thrilled about this...

Presents! New shirts from Gma Becky.

I guess that Uncle Todd thinks dad can't see anymore... he gave him a magnifying glass. He's not THAT old Uncle Todd! : )

This is cool; mom got him a big speaker thing that his ipod can go in... it's awesome! We're always having sound system issues it seems like, so hopefully this will solve some of our problems!

The Jones Family Visit

I'm sorry for the long absence in posts! Here are some pictures of a missionary family that we support; they are home on furlough, but are destined back to Thailand at the end of this month! They came to our church last Sunday, but last Saturday we went and had dinner with them... their kids rode horses and stuff; I think they had lots of fun.

Erica... I think she was a horse lover!

The girl in white was Violet, and she looks just like my Aunt Michelle! She was a friend that came along with the Jones's.  The girl in pink is Lindsey, the oldest daughter.

Tyler was so cute! He's only two, and he was born in Bangkok. I think that's pretty cool.  I played foosball (sp?) with him, and no matter who hit it in the goal, and no matter which goal it was, he always thought he got a point. :)

Meet Trevor, and Trevor. : P Little Trevor found a new best friend in Big Trevor.  You could tell that he thought Trevor(our Trevor: ) was awesome.

Matt Jones preaching on Sunday for the church.

Sorry that I never got a photo of Courtney, his wife.

Please pray for this family as they head back to Thailand to serve the Lord!
