No, We Didn't Freeze in WI~ We're Safely Home
Every February brings our annual trek to the Holiness Conference in WI. Forgive me for not pulling my camera out during the week, but rest assured that we had a wonderful trip. The Lord definitely chiseled my heart and showed me things in my life that needed to change. The theme of the Conference was "The Enthroned Christ". As believers, we have a position in Christ far above Satan's fiery darts. That position gives us power to not only resist the Devil, but also to be filled with the Spirit hence living the life that God wants us to live. The week was wrapped up with a session about fulfilling the great commission: spreading the gospel. The Lord opened my eyes to the needs of the lost. Yes I have known that the Lord wanted me to spend my life in ministry, but I was praying about what avenues to take in regards to that. Pastor Gillmore shared some statistics with us that were staggering: there are still so many languages that have no form of the gospel. If Christians were to translate the scriptures into every language, the task could be completed by 2025. IF we translated 155 languages PER YEAR. The need is great, and it sounds like something worth living for. I hope that the Lord will use me to take part in this project. For now though, my family and I are excited to dive back into our ministries here in Ulysses. We were so thrilled by the welcoming warmer weather: it was a wonderful contrast compared to where we've just been!
